The lavender essential oil has an antiseptic action, therefore, it results useful in case of insect bites or acne. This essential oil is also a painkiller in case of joint, rheumatic or muscle pain and is very helpful in case of insomnia or nervous breakdown
Uses of the lavender essential oil:
Antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and painkiller – In case of insect bites, burns or pimples apply 2-3 drops of lavender essential oil on the interested part, lavender will act with anti-inflammatory properties and will help relieve the itch. Lavender essential oil has a gentle action, for this reason it is well tolerated also if applied directly on the skin. In order to improve the effect, try to mix the lavender essential oil with a teaspoon of aloe vera gel. In case of rheumatic pain, joint or muscle pain try a bath by adding about ten drops of essential oil to the water. The bath should last 10 minutes.
Calming – Lavender essential oil has a calming action and results useful in case of insomnia. Try to massage some drops of lavender essential oil behind your head or add 2-3 drops to the pillow or on a handkerchief that should be put close to your bed.
Able to regenerate the nervous system – useful in case of nervous breakdown, irritability or panic attacks.
